Giannis, it is actually not a hard decision to make if you know what your main goal is. Is it money or winning? You make your own path to get to where you want to be. It is very difficult and no guarantee to get to the mountaintop so dont make too many hurdles along the way like signing a supermax contract. There are so many factors that need to align in order to win a championship. Timing is one important factor. Lebron, Wade and Bosh took less $ so they can team up together. AD’s supermax contract with NOP did not get him anywhere. It is really not that difficult to figure out the formula. Keywords: Lebron to Miami (with Wade/Bosh) and KD to Warriors (with Steph/Klay). Obviously, the problem for Milwaukee is their inability to get superstars to play for their team. Small market disadvantage.

    Go to Miami, Suns, OKC

  3. Md Jummon on November 19, 2020 at 8:57 pm

If he wants a ring, he must request a trade…

  4. James Landi on November 19, 2020 at 8:58 pm

The bucks have zero chance as things stand with Brooklyn. THat is a playoff team without KD and Kyrie. Now they are talking about Harden going there. Yeah it’s over for the bucks. The only way for Giannis to compete for a Chip against the Nets is to go to Golden State or LA. Possibly Phoenix with CP3 there now. Still don’t see a real threat to Brooklyn on that last one.

  5. bewgotti on November 19, 2020 at 9:01 pm

    Giannis 2 the heat

  6. Givanni Jenkins on November 19, 2020 at 9:01 pm

Why would he sign an extention if they could sign better players? Isn’t the goal to win…. LeBron took a pay cut

  7. Jorge Maldonado on November 19, 2020 at 9:04 pm

Trading for him doesn’t “denigrate” the team trading for him Rachel. Fix yourself.

  8. Tarek Aoudeh on November 19, 2020 at 9:05 pm

The stars could align and somehow the Bucks could win it all next year and Giannis still won’t put pen to that super max contract you can bet on that. Bottom line its Wisconsin there is no market for him. The only question left is does he go to a ready to win now team or tries to build something in a high market team (under no circumstances would I advocate the Knicks as a destination team but would change REAL QUICK if they got a superstar especially MVP level talent). Most likely he’s had taste enough of rebuilding and goes to a team ready now.

is brian okay ? he needed air every time he talked

  10. Shadow Warrior on November 19, 2020 at 9:06 pm

Small market. No superstar wants to play in small markets. Do you hear any superstar aching to play for the Spurs anymore?

  11. Miko Santos on November 19, 2020 at 9:08 pm

Supermaxxxxx 250M without a ring will not validate your character as a great player in the History

  12. joe Blow on November 19, 2020 at 9:08 pm

Giannis grew up with 6 dollars. He don’t care about an extra dozen million.

  13. Chief Redrum on November 19, 2020 at 9:08 pm

    Giannis to Lakers confirmed.

  14. primetime don 23 on November 19, 2020 at 9:09 pm

Free agency : we want giannis

  15. erwin021777 on November 19, 2020 at 9:09 pm

You’re all clowns to sell the narrative Giannis is a bad guy if he leaves.
Going to Miami, Nets or Celtics is best for him. Even to mavs or nuggets..

  16. MrEspud on November 19, 2020 at 9:09 pm

    He’s going to Miami

  17. Ragnar Lodbrok on November 19, 2020 at 9:10 pm

All this hype over a man that hasn’t even been to the finals in the eastern conference.

    Hey donut boy:

    – now drop and give me 20!
    – eat your vegetables
    – go for a jog
    – have some respect for yourself
    – make me stop respecting your double chin
    – thank you

  19. Matthew Beilfuss on November 19, 2020 at 9:13 pm

ACL in ’21 and he’s out $50-100 million.

  20. pat baron on November 19, 2020 at 9:13 pm

Well it honestly would be shocking if the Bucks didn’t make any trades or FA signings this offseason with everything that’s on the line. How about all you fanboys just relax a bit and see how the next few weeks play out instead of acting like you can read Giannis’ mind.

  21. Marios Rotsides on November 19, 2020 at 9:15 pm

This is a terrible plan for everyone besides Milwaukee. Giannis will make more money, sure, but his career would never be the same. He can sign a supermax and Milwaukee will never be a championship team (Its nearly impossible because of the cap ramifications unless you already have a championship team, like GS). And if he does decide to leave, the team he’s going to would have to give up a ton of assets while gaining a fat contract. How are they supposed to build a championship team with a supermax if they just traded away good players/draft picks? The best thing for Giannis, if he indeed doesn’t think he’ll be staying in Milwaukke long term, is to either ask for a trade now, when Milwaukee can get something in return but not a haul, or just sign a normal max elsewhere. I’m sure he could even make back some of the lost salary in Miami by playing in a state with no income tax, being on a more popular team, and having a better chance to win.

  22. Jay Jones on November 19, 2020 at 9:17 pm

Don’t sign it Giannis. Keep your options open.

  23. Maria Martins on November 19, 2020 at 9:17 pm

But then: to go where ? I don’t see the difference losing games in Orlando or Houston and Milawaukee ?

  24. Cooper Hoover on November 19, 2020 at 9:18 pm

    Brian is right.

  25. Good news of our Salvation on November 19, 2020 at 9:18 pm

If he wants a ring he needs to have players like cp3, s.curry or Kemba W, in bucks.

  26. 5AM 5UNG on November 19, 2020 at 9:18 pm

Any news regarding to NBA’s trade or draft aren’t factual information, unless its from Woj’s report!! Another speculation & false info!!

    Yes

  28. Mr. Beefy on November 19, 2020 at 9:20 pm

Being born in & living in Milwaukee this really sucks.. the media is really pushing Giannis out of Milwaukee & I’m actually worried about him leaving next year if we don’t contend.. (we as in my home city I’m a thunder fan)

  29. Phillip Walker on November 19, 2020 at 9:21 pm

Next season is a wash. Any team thinking they may have cap space is gonna be disappointed. They are gonna reduce the cap.

  30. joe Blow on November 19, 2020 at 9:27 pm

Secret agreement that he’s out lol

  31. luwen Hu on November 19, 2020 at 9:31 pm

Hey Brian, my mom said we can’t hang out anymore :(. She said she doesn’t really like how you carry yourself on ESPN. I will return your legos tomorrow in art class.

  32. Michael Colon on November 19, 2020 at 9:31 pm

No way he does not sign that extension. 80 million dollars is a lot of money even if ur a millionare. Just a sign and trade.

  33. SNIPEonSIGHT on November 19, 2020 at 9:32 pm

Giannis to the heat or Mavs if he wants a chance at really reaping the league. Or get him to Houston to work with a westbrook or harden I hear they not meshing well. Then bucks a have a chance to build around a star

  34. Giovani Alexander on November 19, 2020 at 9:35 pm

If I’m Giannis I’m not signing anything. Put pressure on the team to make some serious moves. Middleton needs to be the 3rd option if he doesn’t get traded, not 2nd. Bledsoe isn’t good enough as a starter. Get to work!

  35. Keavion on November 19, 2020 at 9:35 pm

  44. C T on November 19, 2020 at 9:49 pm

Definitely think he signs and if The Bucks fail to get it done the next 3 seasons he can demand a trade….because he loves the city and organaization.
Bucks had to trad Kareem in 1976 and got a great return.

  45. Kinsey on November 19, 2020 at 9:53 pm

Giannis will me a Maverick after this season

  46. king power on November 19, 2020 at 9:54 pm

Master various go to moves, utilize post ups, and perimeter jumpshot. If he signs in bucks, or in any team without someone who can complement his weakness, better to improve and expand his own game coverage. I am his fan, and i know he will and can do it. I hate seeing him being ganged up and passing to his dry hand teammates. If he falls, the team falls.
