realized it was a strike after deciding to take and decided eh I’ll get hit so I can keep the team alive.

2:43. I didn’t know wearing ski goggles with no snow was a thing.

  3. David dipshit on April 18, 2021 at 1:50 am

Fun fact: this is the ref the NHL fired recently. He had it in for the Marlins, listen to the hot mic

  4. Tommy Devine on April 18, 2021 at 1:52 am

This video is giving me some serious Jose Tabata PTSD. Still salty about that one…

  5. spoonyg419 on April 18, 2021 at 1:53 am

The fact that it didn’t even touch his actual arm/elbow because of that elbow guard angers me more, lol. I’m not against wraps, pads, supports being used but cmon guys! Looking at you Gronk hahaha

  6. DevTheTerror on April 18, 2021 at 1:53 am

Some of these umpires are so bad it’s ridiculous.

  7. t millz on April 18, 2021 at 1:54 am

Bench should of cleared toward the ump

  8. Drew Brees is on TRT so is Tom brady on April 18, 2021 at 1:57 am

Lindors gonna make out with him while Dom Smith gets him wet…

Watched this Game Live the other day & the Game gave me a bad taste in my mouth even though it was a Win.
A Wins a Win right, but I hope the Mets Don’t have Winning Games like this during the rest of the Season b/c it’s Sloppy Play.

    What a dirty "win".

  11. jrvane11 on April 18, 2021 at 2:05 am

The 3rd base camera angle doesn’t indicate leaning into it. In fact, it shows him turning away from it. So…

  12. TyTy on April 18, 2021 at 2:06 am

Did it again tonight against a pitcher with no control and tried to make drama out of it.

  13. Bryan on April 18, 2021 at 2:07 am

    Get these umpires outta here

  14. jchen3 on April 18, 2021 at 2:07 am

I haven’t seen lean-in technique like that since Craig Biggio’s Houston career.

  15. Cory Rockow on April 18, 2021 at 2:08 am

I hate for Jomboy that half of everybody are wearing masks. I’m always impressed by his lip-reading. However, it’s still impressive that he pretty much knows what they are saying even with the masks on. Keep up the awesome analytics on what’s going on out the field, Jomboy! Great stuff

  16. Wesley whitcomb on April 18, 2021 at 2:09 am

This will continue until they change the rule to reviewable and they say u cant lean into the pitch or ur out. It’s a rule loophole that teams have found

  17. Rick Rhodes on April 18, 2021 at 2:10 am

Koupa is proof that MLB needs to purge the whole umpire group!!

  18. Brad Coleman on April 18, 2021 at 2:11 am

    horse shit

  19. Dekoda Way on April 18, 2021 at 2:11 am

Honestly. I was looking for this because I was telling friends about it. I didn’t even search it in the search bar I went to jomboy and it was right there. My man always got my back

  20. Commander Shepard on April 18, 2021 at 2:12 am

Lmao I just looked it up and he leads the league in HBP.

  21. The_Vicman006 on April 18, 2021 at 2:12 am

Then the next day poor Jacob deGrom paid for the sins of Conforto. 1 pitch and he got the L

  22. Hello on April 18, 2021 at 2:15 am

    He wasnt even hit lmao

  23. fireprooffan on April 18, 2021 at 2:16 am

    Genius

  24. Pink Harlequin on April 18, 2021 at 2:16 am

I don’t think so. He decided to not swing at the last second, and that movement makes it appear as if he’s moving his elbow in. That is all. Should he walk? No. Not the fault of the pitcher that the batter hesitantly decided to pull a swing.

  25. Spike Vaccyanide on April 18, 2021 at 2:17 am

LOL dead on, picture-perfect, textbook strike.

  26. Ira R on April 18, 2021 at 2:19 am

It doesnt matter whether it was intentional or not!!! The fact that the pitch was IN THE STRIKEZONE is what matters. If you get hit by a pitch in the strikezone, IT’S STRIKE 3!!!! a-and that’s what happened here….and the ump had to have ruled that the pitch was OUTSIDE the strikezone, hit Comforto, and deflected into the strikezone- and that’s clearly very imaginative from the ump!

  27. Glenn Hanna on April 18, 2021 at 2:20 am

Ump was going to call it a strike lol

  28. N0bleR6 on April 18, 2021 at 2:20 am

Back in high school I was robbed of a perfect 3 strikeout close by a player who leaned into the pitch to keep the inning going. Knew him personally and he admitted to me he leaned into it just to mess with me

  29. Juan Naranjo on April 18, 2021 at 2:22 am

    He closed his eyes

something id expect the astros to do 😉

  37. Thomas More on April 18, 2021 at 2:30 am

I don’t even like baseball unless it’s live and I refuse to patronize the MLB after their recent debacle but I watch your breakdown. Great analysis and entertaining as hell.

  38. Infamous Snowman on April 18, 2021 at 2:31 am

Mr burns must’ve given him signals

  39. Richard Kerckhove on April 18, 2021 at 2:32 am

Yet another reason people stop watching baseball.

  40. Lazaro Fernandez on April 18, 2021 at 2:32 am

I really hope the Marlins beam him any where it hurts, don’t want to injure him but definitely fuck his lame ass up lol

  41. Brendan Bradley on April 18, 2021 at 2:34 am

So this is what MLB has become in 2021. YIKES.

  42. MP TR on April 18, 2021 at 2:36 am

A batter is not entitled to strike a ball thats over the plate with a body part. Simple. If the ball was over the plate, but high, you keep him in the box, and call a ball. But, this shouldve been strike 3. Think about it, would you allow a batter to reach out with his hand and knock down a fastball right down the middle? Of course not. This is the same thing. Batter is protected, for the most part, INSIDE the batters box. Go outside, hes on his own

  43. Robbie Mize on April 18, 2021 at 2:37 am

    "So totally Mets!"

  44. Dead Legend on April 18, 2021 at 2:42 am

just one of the reasons everyone hates the Cubs

  45. John Sherman on April 18, 2021 at 2:43 am

The Mets should be embarrassed about this win.

  46. Jay P. on April 18, 2021 at 2:44 am

Ron Kulpa is quickly encroaching on Angel Hernandez, CB Bucknor and Joe West territory.
    What a clown show.

  47. PrisonCipher on April 18, 2021 at 2:46 am

    Dear Baseball….

    you’re girls.

  48. Hm-Smithers on April 18, 2021 at 2:46 am

That needs to be a rule man, reviewing to see if they lean into it, has to be a reversible offense
