Emily Ruff: Director of the Florida School of Holistic Living

Emily Ruff, Director of the Florida School of Holistic Living, is a community herbalist and health educator who has practiced the art and science of plant healing for over a decade. Her studies have taken her around three continents, where she has studied under indigenous healers of many traditions.

Ms. Ruff inherits a background in gardening and botany from her family, including several generations of small farmers and botanists. The roots of her study were passed down during her childhood wandering the wilderness of Central Florida with her father, a botanist and professor, and digging in the soil with her grandfather, an urban farmer. She also was a founder of the Homegrown Local Food Co-op in Orlando.

June 15, 2015  Update:  My attorney sent a letter of demand to refund the class money on June 2nd.  So far, there has been no response from FSHL.  If there has been no refund sent by the end of this month, I will file suit in small claims court. By then it will be the principle of the matter.  If I win this case, FSHL will be liable for full refund of monies as well as the filing fee.  I will keep updating on these review sites as things unfold.  If Ms. Ruff does indeed do the right thing and refunds in full my $175.00, I will be happy to post this as well.  It is a shame that she would rather have her reputation damaged than to do the right thing.  If the shoe were on the other foot, I know she would do the same thing.
