I took myself off of 8 medications by using essential oils. I had GBS and the meds made me feel foggy. Love your videos, been a subscriber for a few years now. Solid advice. Thank you.

ignorant question– How do you make your own oils from a plant once you run out? I have tons of those dropper bottles bc my darling does organic vaping with nicotine in vegetable glycerine.

Great video. Here’s a subject/scenario I’d like to see addressed: Let’s say that SHTF, Zombie Apocalypse, etc. were 99% likely to happen in one year, but that (hypothetically) when it did happen you couldn’t take any medicines, herbs, oils, etc. with you when it did. What would you do for your body NOW in preparation?

  13. Kat_Victoria on May 12, 2021 at 3:01 am

are you using all theraputic grade oils because the quality of oils makes a word of difference in the effectiveness!

I know this was put out a long time ago, but wanted to mention the carrier oil is important because of how strong these oils are.

  20. roninreturns on May 12, 2021 at 3:08 am

An important video ThePatriotNurse, but how you could mention buying something from Wal-Mart eludes me, and I respect your work and channel. For my health and well-being, I would not trust Anything from Wal-Mart, ever. I only purchase HABA products from reputable companies, which have thorough tracking and testing of all ingredients they use, and the efficacy, quality and content of the products, and can Prove it through third party testing. Read on please, from someone that has worked in the natural foods and supplements industry for years, I have studied these topics for decades, as you have studied as a nurse in your field.

First of all, you did not define the difference between Steam Distilled, and Absolute essential oils. One is processed differently than the other, Absolute EOs utilize solvents, Steam Distilled do not. 100% pure essential oil means nothing in terms of labeling or quality. Example: Rose Otto costs more because it is distilled without use of solvents, whereas Rose Absolute is solvent distilled, and less expensive, but still effective and maintains the same properties.

To sum up, not all EO’s and companies are created equal, and knowing the sourcing and processing of what you use, and the testing and grades of EOs is important. It is a situation of caveat emptor in unregulated industries, and the buyer should beware and do their own research, contact the companies, and ask for verified proof of quality control, testing, and the regulations regarding how FDA does, and does not, certify the products for use. Yes, you will pay more, however the difference in quality for use for your health is important.

  27. Holley Richardson on May 12, 2021 at 3:17 am

While I love your videos.. This video made me cringe.
I have oiled for 5 years consistently. I have researched, and tried many brands. While I get when the "Poop" hits the fan… You can’t be picky. However if you are going to be Ingesting oils… You would want them to be as PURE as possible. My research as well as many others has show that the "FDA" allows packaging to be misleading in that they only have to contain 5% of the Blood Life of the Plant. That means that 95% is NOT the true Blood Life and will be oils or ingredients that may not be safe!
Please look into D.Gary Young’s Seed to Seal Promise… go check out his farms.
While yes I am a Young Living Distributor… I did my research before stepping into the "Distribution" of his products. I have used the Walmart, Amazon, etc oils… I have TRIED other smaller companies.
I am not sharing my "ID Number" as this is NOT to sway people to buy from ME… My purpose is to help educate people that you MUST learn about what you put in your body. Most of the oils you showed did not show a label and I appreciate that… However mentioning Walmart was the kicker for me! I have a photo of a label that it specifically warns use on the skin or ingestion! That those are mainly made for diffusing or aroma!

Sorry… I just can’t watch something that could possibly mislead people by the FDA labels! (Not that YOU were) but if the FDA does not FORCE "100% Pure" to be JUST THAT… then it is up to all of us to Educate each other!

Goldenseal is another must have, especially for it’s phenomenal healing of open wounds and it’s antiseptic qualities. Another good addition would be olive leaf extract for its antibacterial, antiviral properties.

And don’t forget thieves oil. That the thieves would rob houses during the plague and not get sick

Which is most cost-effective–over-the-counter meds, medicinal herbs, or essential oils, for all-around health care?

  38. Hex Arcanum on May 12, 2021 at 3:33 am

If your going to be utilizing oils in any way, but especially internally, make sure they are therapeutic grade. A lot of drugstore and health store brands use filler and synthetic oils in with their essentials making them potentially harmful. If your looking to get a good starter prep kit visit my site http://www.mydoterra.com/carltonsistrunk and we can get you all a starter set! Amazing quality here!

Hi! Neem oil healed a minor fungal skin infection in 3 applications only. My hubby had a few small red spots on his trunk for a year which the Dr. had misdiagnosed. Boom! Gone. Thank you girl!

  47. TaxTheFed on May 12, 2021 at 3:45 am

Calling this woman a name was stupid and childish. So, yes, that was ignorant. If you’re living in a shelter it’s because the outside environment has become uninhabitable. So now you’re stuck in this cramped up shelter where you can’t open a window or get away from the offensive odor of someone’s candle or tincture. And those aromatic oils can waft up a major irritant to the sensitive eyed resident. And no, I wouldn’t actually kick her or anyone out for this. I was in a bad mood when I posted.

  48. lorieslist on May 12, 2021 at 3:46 am

JenDo, I agree about the coconut oil… it has a million uses.  I have a jar that I added green tea extract to and use for my face day and night, and I look quite young for my age!  I don’t remember her mentioning lavender oil, which is calming, but also has many other uses including dermatological.  Note: I use oregano oil to kill ticks, very effectively.  SO glad you mentioned Neem… very great results with this, too!
Also, look into adding flower essences (Bach Rescue Remedy, at the least, and a product catalog or reference guide), and some homeopathic remedies (also needs catalog/reference guide).
Perhaps already on another post, but other similar medically oriented needs would be food grade H2O2 3% (35% degrades too quickly, also transfer to glass if possible), a gallon of food grade DMSO (transfer to a glass jar and have smaller glass jars for daily use; this is a miracle product with which I have had exceptional results, ie: burns, bug bites, etc), bulk pure baking soda, lots of distilled white vinegar, ethyl alcohol, iodine, witch hazel, Bentonite (Montmorillite) clay in ingestible form, epsom salts, good quality sea salt, and glass jars of various sizes and applications like mason jars, small bottles with caps, droppers and sprayers, "q-tips", gauze, cotton rounds (or squares), and small jars with tight lids for specialized compounded ointments.  And, supplements for detoxing, perhaps following Andy Cutler Protocol, or similar.
Also, look into fermenting/culturing and preserving and storing the foods we need for improved immunity, like kefir (I prefer milk, but you can choose water kefir) or kombucha and lacto-fermented vegetables (think Sauerkraut or Kimchee) and pickling (so many options!).  And, the cultures (grains) are good for bartering!
And, learn to dehydrate and store everything you can.  But, for meats and eggs, I suggest purchasing freeze dried or commercially produced and packaged.
Native medicinal herbs is a whole new topic for some other day…  I won’t even go into medicinal mushrooms which can be found in large and varied areas of the US.
