paul is king of kings!
"when you have all that testosterone going through you all that yogi shit’s just like stuff your mom makes you do"
27:10
Paul may be a revolutionary master of physical fitness and functional exercise, but that’s far from his only area of expertise. I’ve been looking for spiritual and social-life advice from a lot of sources and done work to grow there myself, but Paul has truly fitting stuff in there when he speaks about it. He understands the core concepts so well, and I think that’s what allows him to do all this stuff successfully.
Let me put it this way, Paul Chek is my master……
This guy calls us chinamen 17:04 and then uses our teachings to make money. Cool.
Hmmm. What is Intrapelvic work/adjustment? Sounds like Larry Nassar type stuff, to me! Ewwww! Abusively gross!!!!
That information is money, endless richness in information. wow
I fucking love Paul Chek.
: )
Hmm hes talking in depth about something im really just now starting to notice more and more there are people that I work on who seem to have abdominal inflammation of some sort that is cause low back pain or other issue I knew food caused pain but im not finding other muscles that I would usually be tight dysfunctional. I’ve heard some things about this atlas before but disregarded it as chiropractor bullshit. Maybe I’ll look into this some more.
Love Mr. Chek!!
Paul is the only one who has the mic placed in the right position for sound quality, and replay value.
If anyone is interested in the trapped emotions, then read Dr. Bradly Nelson. Last I checked it was available on YouTube.
One of the best conversations I’ve heard in a long long time
As time goes by , we will once again prove the ancient wisdom is always right.
KING
I’d love to hear a lot about shamans and their knowledge.
I think Paul gets life.
Wow, this really shows a nice side of Paul, his attempts to integrate spirit in to the training for regular people is heroic. Epic, wish I had a mentor like this.
Super. I have notes. I’m a holistic trainer and yoga instructor, certified in the mid 90s when studying was mandatory. I live my work. This has become my current study guide.
Damn was that enlightening or what?!!
Good video
if steve jobs became this instead of apple :p

Love the show! Great content great guests. However you guys should definitely look into readjusting your compression settings for the audio, the audio of the show has always been painful to listen to. Still love the show, just some constructive criticism, good audio makes a world of difference on how people will tune in.
You guys scored with the master. Paul is a pioneer.
Thanks for you life long dedication, Paul.
Next time, don’t have someone sitting in the near background of the subject you’re filming. I’m sure this was unintentional. I can’t tell you the film theory of why this is wrong, but it is distracting. Thank you for this thorough interview.
Out of curiosity, what is on the left side of Paul Chek’s nose?? Is he ok?
background music is distracting, other then that its a great vid
Hour:30 and onwards just listen without thinking and be blown away at just the sheer knowledge bouncing around his head and how intelligently he knows how to use ALL of it… unreal
Never heard so much crap in my life.
This guy takes a lot of our teachings, and practices, and makes money from them, dresses in his yoga pants, and then calls us "china men" at about 17:04. This guys ego is outta control, and all you guys riding his jock aren’t helping him any. The words from your mouth are the reflection of the meditation of your heart Mr. Chek. No apology necessary, because you didn’t do anything offensive right? Anybody reading this, if you are interested in self awareness, meditation, spiritual healing, please don’t waste your time with this guy, there are much more genuine teachers out there.
loves to talk, huh… 😉
I liked it a lot. Made me calm and focused immediatly. Thank you very much. Absolutely will do this daily
1:52:05 CrossFit LOL
I’m just naturally skeptical about someone who referneces themselves so much…..no need to talk about such guff as he starts around 2.40, goes on to talk about parasympatheic and sympathetic nervous systems….left brain right brain…blah blah vlah. Ok, eat well, do some exercise, think about what you’re doing (meditation), nothing special about it, so stop the guru shit! Anyone who needs a guy like this to spoon feed them basic nutrition and exercise …well, you need it. For most people this is just typical egotistical guff.
“Experts on weight lifting that can’t lift weights” 1:22:53
can’t hear it properly with the music in the background
Excellent guest! Paul is the sh**
20:15 Knowledge is just a collection of ideas. Wisdom is the synthesis of the practice of those ideas – and it’s only wisdom when you are sure it works.
26:15 Paul’s laundry list of injuries
27:00 4 Life Cycles (birth to death): 1) Child stage, 2) Warrior stage, 3) King/Queen stage, 4) Wise Man/Wise Woman stage
46:17 We’re traveling at 68,000 miles an hour, and nobody’s at the wheel (while we’re destroying the spaceship).
48:00 We have a drug-happy culture that’s been conditioned to sell their problems to doctors. People want to sell and medicate their problems away, so that they can continue to keep living dysfunction-ally.
50:30 Growing up on a farm and his father.
1:02:00 Our educational system is very dysfunctional. It teaches you WHAT to learn, but it doesn’t teach you HOW to learn (Peter Drucker also elaborates on this).
1:04:00 The value of real-world practicality, empiricism and getting results — learned on a farm.
1:14:30 "How my farm-boy, not academically trained mind would process information." "People with very fancy degrees had not learned HOW to think, they were taught WHAT to think." "They were doing so much research that it wasn’t grounded in reality, and would look good on paper."
1:18:20 Grew up on Vancouver island, was a hunter. Soldier in the 82nd Airborne Division.
1:22:30 You realize that having an open mind, and observing, and paying attention and practicing will always take you where you need to go, and is far more important than listening to "some dude standing in front of a class called a professor telling you what to do."
1:24:20 "It’s not that academia’s bad — it’s that 1) it doesn’t make the gap to practical application, and 2) it is often so segmented that it makes the mistake of believing partial truths as facts."
1:25:00 Scientific studies are like knives. You’ve got to be very careful with a knife — it can be helpful tool, but it can be a dangerous tool.
1:26:30 It takes 7 years in Russia to get a message therapy license, and MT’s are treated the same as medical doctors in Russia.
1:30:20 The old-school doctors were doing honest research, they weren’t being paid off to prove or disprove medical research. The older books are loaded with fantastic stuff.
1:38:30 "Professional, nose-up horse shit" (not certified, can’t touch the spine). The BEST therapists and the best docts are the most open minded (don’t play the silly games).
1:43:30 Paul went to PA (physician’s assistant) school to study medical injection.
1:49:30 The definitive text on medical research, used in all med. schools.
1:53:00 "I work with very expensive athletes and people I cannot fuck around with."
1:59:00 Your breathing cycles tie into astronomical cycles.
2:07:00 Christianity and the meaning of the name Jesus Christ (be Christ-like). Christianity is one of the most radical religions if you get to the core tenants of it. But, people are studying corporate Christianity instead (profit motive).
2:09:50 "How many people teaching at churches or temples (*or academia, for that matter!) are actually enlightened? Almost NONE. So what are you getting? Poor interpretations from underdeveloped people who should not be teaching. It would be like having fat, sick people teaching exercise in a gym" (*Mark Rippetoe)
**Paul would love the book Antifragile, by N. Taleb! (strongest argument for empiricism vs. theory)
Let me guess you pioneered breathing, eating and bathing too? Did you invent the English language and also at the forefront of space travel ?
