#68 Skinny Isn’t Always the Answer with Holistic Nutritionist Krystal Bolduc.
Starting in 3rd grade, Krystal began a tireless journey with dieting and trying her best to lose weight in order to feel beautiful. At this very young age, she even found an image in a Victoria’s Secret magazine of what her ideal body might look like and used this image to temporarily motivate herself into eating less food. As time went on, she continued to struggle with her weight until she was officially labeled, “obese”.
The difficulty of her home environment paired with the shame and guilt around her body image, forced Krystal to a breaking point where she eventually found herself desperate enough to make a change. BUT, that change would only be temporary. Over a course of a decade, Krystal lost and gained back 100 pounds three times.
She finally began to realize that skinny wasn’t always the answer. It had to go deeper than that. If Krystal was going to make any lasting change, she knew she needed to nourish her body, mind and soul.
In this conversation, Krystal not only shares her story with us, but she also offers tangible advice for those struggling to find the direction, courage, or support that they’re looking for. She makes a clear distinction between diet culture and TRUE health that’ll (hopefully) cause you to breakup with diets for good.
